College Renaissance Corps first met Mark Yoss, Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Sciences Institute at Metropolitan State University of Denver last spring by chance. Since our first cohort, we've had the privilege of collaborating with Mark on multiple occasions. During a recent visit, Mark warmly welcomed us to the AMSI, where he shared his valuable insights on Industry 4.0 and the #JumpStart program, showcasing how advanced manufacturing is driving the future of innovation and workforce development. One of our newest CRCorps Ambassadors, Nick Sauer who is a student at Red Rocks Community College wrote about his experience learning from Mark and the incredible team at MSU. "During my recent tour at the MSU aerospace engineering building, I got to see lots of cool machines that I've never used before. The staff showed us how they worked, and even though I couldn't try them out yet, it was nice to learn about them and see what they look like." - Nick Sauer, CRCorps Ambassador Check out his full blog here: https://lnkd.in/g6fkWR4c #AdvancedManufacturing #JumpStartProgram #Innovation #WorkforceDevelopment #CRCorps #CommunityCollege #RedRockCommunityCollege #RRCC #ASMI #MSU

"My tour of SCRAM Systems was an eye-opening experience! From the moment I walked in, I could feel the passion and dedication of the team. They walked us through the intricate process of creating their cutting-edge alcohol and location monitoring systems, and it was amazing to see the technology in action. "What stood out the most was how these devices do more than just monitor—they genuinely help people turn their lives around. Hearing stories of individuals who’ve broken free from alcohol abuse and regained control of their lives thanks to these systems was incredibly moving. It was an inspiring visit that left me energized and hopeful about the difference technology can make in people's lives." - Betsy Matkovich, PM, #CRCorpsColorado Industry Ambassador #AdvancedManufacturing #Technology #MakingADifference

"Stepping into a classroom after 23 years away was intimidating. The technology, teaching methods, and classroom dynamics have changed significantly since I last attended school. I often found myself feeling out of place among younger students who seemed to navigate this environment with ease," says CRCorps Colorado Industry Ambassador Betsy Matkovich, PM, a student at Community College of Denver. Betsy shares her unique perspective as a returning adult learner pursuing a degree in #NuclearEngineering. Read her blogs here: https://lnkd.in/g2y2aMfh #CRCorps #communitycollege #CCD #CCDedu
