Stay cool and give back! Last Wednesday, a group of ND and Cranshaw Construction employees came together to clean up the Arlington Reservoir. Volunteers embarked in canoes and brought to shore 176 baskets of invasive water chestnuts that were choking out growth and degrading the habitats for birds and fish. Thank you to our amazing volunteers and to Building Impact and Mystic River Watershed Association for providing this fun and meaningful opportunity to help protect the environment. #DayofService #Volunteer #BuildMoreImpact #Teamwork

Shout out to our awesome co-ops, Eve and Shelby, on National Intern Day! They’ve both been working hard since joining in May as Assistant Superintendent Co-ops. Eve Wilson, a Bryant University business major, has rejoined Cranshaw after two previous summer co-ops with the 99 Coolidge team in Watertown and is now working at a life sciences campus project in Waltham. Shelby Gimblett, an architecture major from Keene State College, is assigned to an affordable housing project in South Boston. City and state dignitaries gathered earlier this week to celebrate the opening of District 120, an 83-unit affordable housing complex in Worcester’s Canal District! Rich Mazzocchi, President of Tremont Development Partners, highlighted the critical need for equitable housing, stating, "To be able to provide those 83 homes to families in need is something we should all be proud of." This development near Kelley Square and the Worcester Red Sox's Polar Park is a vital part of the area’s transformation. Cranshaw loves building housing, but especially when it’s a playhouse! A dedicated team of Cranshaw volunteers spent their Saturday constructing a cabin-themed playhouse for the children of a veteran family on behalf of Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester’s Operation Playhouse Build-A-Thon. Cranshaw’s team came together at AMVETS Natick Post 79 to build, paint, and decorate the playhouse. Join a free two-day OSHA 10 Safety Training on April 28 and 29, 2024 at the Joseph M. Tierney Learning Center in South Boston. Spaces are limited, so register early. Completion of this training will earn you an OSHA 10 certificate, making you an attractive job candidate across various industries, including the construction trades. ? Learn how to build a safe environment on construction projects with ten hours of instruction over two days provided by Danny Mc Ellin of Construction Training Solutions and sponsored by Cranshaw Construction. Training runs from 9:00am-2:00pm each day. Coffee with light refreshments and lunch will be provided to participants each day. Spaces are limited, so register early.? ?
