As part of Black History Month, we hosted a trivia game where we learned about legends and leaders throughout history, culture, sports, arts and more. We then went on a walking and bus tour around Chicago, visiting landmarks like the Quinn Chapel AME Church (the oldest African American congregation in the city and a stop on the Underground Railroad), the Chicago Defender newspaper building (founded in 1905 and instrumental to civil rights) and Chess Records (popularizing the blues and influencing rock music for years to come). Black history is not just about the past. We honor it in the present so we can do better in the future. #BlackHistoryMonth #bhm
