During Nurse Practitioner Week, we proudly celebrate the nurse practitioners (NPs) at Craig Hospital. In our Outpatient Clinic, our NPs bring skill and compassion to our patients living with spinal cord and brain injury, managing needs like long-term care, aging patient support, fertility challenges and wound care. October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month! #NDEAM After a spinal cord injury in 2018, #CraigGrad Ayesha, now a lead teacher for an elementary school morning program, worked hard to find fulfilling employment that aligned with her goals. Supported by Craig Community Reintegration Specialist Hayley Medina, Ayesha participated in job coaching, career planning and accessing resources to regain independence and make a meaningful impact every day. Her advice this #NDEAM? Find work that fulfills you, seek support when needed and know that your contributions matter. “Take it slow. Every day is a learning process.
