We’re at the AEFP 50th Annual Conference this week with a special presentation! Craft’s Patricia Saenz-Armstrong?is the co-author of a paper being presented and discussed on the impact of the decentralization of education policies on student achievement. This discussion is particularly relevant today as there is a renewed push to shift education control back to the states. ?? In the working paper they find that, upon decentralization of the decision-making, states tended to withdraw from outcome-based teacher policies, and focus more on input-based teacher policies which had negative impact on student outcomes. ??
