I am proud to be a Cradles to Crayons board member, helping #EndClothingInsecurity by providing children with the basic essentials they need just to be kids - clothing, shoes, hygiene items, diapers and warm winter coats at this time of year. Our Purple Party is our one fundraiser to help us fund the gaps in the donated product stream and buy items that have to be new. With federal funding challenges The Purple Party will enable us to end our fiscal year strongly, More importantly it is a great event, with signature cocktails, great music, gourmet hors d'oeuvres, fabulous auction items and the chance to sport your finest purple clothing. An inspiring visit from Joyce Abbott! ??? Ms. Abbott, a retired educator from the Philadelphia School District and a partial inspiration for Abbott Elementary, joined us at the Giving Factory. Ms. Abbott was inspired by the scale of the Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory.
