Over the past year, Cradle to Career Partnership has had the pleasure of working with Gabe Mendoza, our Collective Impact Specialist and Public Allies member. Gabe's role was to focus building our United Youth Leadership Council and reconnect Opportunity Youth (16–24-year-olds who have become disconnected from school and work) back to school or a job. Gabe was once an Opportunity Youth himself. Watch the video below to learn about his story.

Women of color represent just 4.8% (NSF NCSES, 2019) of the STEM workforce. At Cradle to Career Partnership, we are aiming to address the workforce gap for women of color in STEM. Through this system-informed program, girls of color are empowered to develop their passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics - paving the way for a brighter future. In this video, Miles Chandler talks about his work with our amazing partner, BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF TUCSON, through an after-school program that gives girls of color an opportunity for hands-on learning and mentors.
