CPV Basin Ranch meets another milestone after receiving air permit approval from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. The 1,350 MW combined-cycle natural gas power plant located near Barstow, Ward County, will add reliable power generation to ERCOT that will help meet rising demand while supporting the region’s economic development. ? “For the last three years, our company has been diligently working on the development of CPV Basin Ranch. We are proud of the work to date and will remain laser focused as we move through the final steps of development. We thank the TCEQ for its assistance through the extensive air permit process,” says Peter Podurgiel, CPV’s President of Low Carbon Generation. https://lnkd.in/eBXsid-r

This week, the PJM Interconnection region is experiencing some of the coldest weather in the last ten years, coming off a period of historically high energy demand. As noted in the CPV Retail blog from January 16th, PJM issued a cold weather alert for its western zone due to the influx of arctic air moving south.
