关于我们
ITE is an organization dedicated to connecting and educating transportation professionals. The Cal Poly San Luis Obispo student chapter aims to connect students with peers and professionals, to explore the opportunities within the field, and to make a lasting and meaningful impact on our community and profession. Established in 1974, Cal Poly SLO ITE has grown significantly over the years. We hold information sessions with firms and agencies, tour project sites, attend professional conferences, hold social events, coordinate professional development opportunities, volunteer with different organizations, and explore the infinite opportunities of transportation engineering! As a continuously growing chapter, we aspire to connect our members further and continue to be creative in how we impact the profession. New events include Mario Kart, the SLO Transpo Mixer, Student Leadership Summit, as well as increased volunteering and social events. Something new is always around the corner!

It was our honor to welcome Fehr&Peers last week! We express our greatest gratitude to Spencer Reed and Alexandra Lee-Gardner for giving a spectacular presentation, sharing insights with officers over dinner, and conducting interviews with our transportation enthusiasts in ITE the following day. Thank you Fehr&Peers for making these opportunities possible for our members!

This past Friday, we officially held our first mock interviews workshop of the quarter! ???????? Special thanks to the professionals who showed up to give feedback and professional advice to all of our members that made it. We're grateful to Gabe Miller from Rick Engineers (SLO Office), Joe Fernandez from Central Coast Transportation Consulting, and Mason Dambacher, EIT from Consor Engineers (SLO Office), who dedicated their time to help guide the new generation of transportation enthusiasts! With the continuing support of our ITE community and hard work of our board members, more professional opportunities like these await us in the near future.

We're happy to announce that our first general meeting of the school year was a success! New and returning members met the 2024-2025 officer board and the Cal Poly faculty that make all of our opportunities possible. Then members broke the ice with transpo-themed games and activities, before ending on a strong note with lunch from Panda Express ?????. Fortunately, for our new members, the future holds much more in store for professional and social development!
