A few weeks ago I had the special privilege of attending the ASCE 2024 Pacific Southwest Student Symposium hosted by the University of Hawai?i at Mānoa. It was an incredible way to see technical knowledge learned, in the classroom, be applied in the real world. The next ASCE Pacific Southwest Symposium will be hosted by my school, Cal Poly Pomona! The event will bring over 1000 students from 14 schools to CPP.? The estimated budget is $250,000 for a three-day event. To keep costs for students low, we are requesting donations from alumni and friends. ASCE is participating in the 2024 Cal Poly Pomona Giving Day, where the university will match any donation made between today and Thursday, April 18th at 8:00 PM. Please consider donating or spreading the word. Thank you!! The link is below: https://lnkd.in/g2_NSuxd

Design Intern at Riverside County Transportation Department | CPP ASCE 2025 Pacific Southwest Symposium Director
Hello everyone! My name is Alejandro Torres, and I currently serve as the coordinator for the 2025 Pacific Southwest Symposium (PSWS). Right now, we are taking part in the Cal Poly Pomona 2024 Giving Day to fundraise for this incredible event. As part of Giving Day, the university will match many of the donations made now all the way to April 18th at 8:00 PM. The PSWS is an annual competition which brings together hundreds of students from 14 universities across Southern California and Hawai’i to compete in civil engineering competitions. The symposium serves to propel the professional growth of ASCE student members as they gain hand-on experience that will directly translate to the work in our profession. Overall, we are expecting more than 1,000 attendees and budget of $250,000. With that being said, I would like to ask if you consider donating toward our cause and helping us host the PSWS. If you are unable to donate, we would equally appreciate if you could help spread the word about our campaign with your family, friends, and colleagues. If you would like to donate, the link to do so is below. If you have any questions or would like more information about our team or this event, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for consideration! https://lnkd.in/g5vftqTi
