Founded in 1965, the Chinese-American Planning Council's (CPC) mission is to promote the social and economic empowerment of Chinese American, immigrant, and low-income communities. Today, CPC is the nation's largest Asian American social services organization, serving 60,000 community members each year though over 50 education, family support, and community and economic empowerment programs across New York City.

  • Last night’s CPC 60th Anniversary Gala was unforgettable, thanks to YOU! ?? With 900+ guests, our sold-out event raised funds that will go directly toward expanding programs for immigrant New Yorkers during this critical time of economic uncertainty and policy challenges, promoting staff development, and advocating for policy priorities that advance equity and inclusion for all.   • Last week, over 200 members of our Chinatown Older Adult Center participated in a self-defense demonstration workshop ????? led by Chungsanim Master Betty Sze from the World Martial Arts Center! They learned practical skills to protect themselves and left feeling more confident and prepared. Master Betty holds the rank of 4th Dan in HapKiDo and 3rd Dan in Kumite Ryu Jujitsu, and has trained in Wing Chun, Shaolin Kung Fu, Jujitsu, Judo, Tae Kwon Do, and Kumdo (Korean Sword).
