Looking to get the basics of finance down through a racial justice and equity lens? Join us for next week's Finance Fundamentals workshop! Last day to register is this Friday by 3pm Pacific: https://lnkd.in/gMw_j_kt Dealing with money is too often seen as the uninspired but necessary work of resourcing social justice and nonprofit work. In reality, financial knowledge and practices aren’t just technical—they can be transformational and build power, too. We all have something valuable to learn and something useful to contribute to the way we think about resourcing our work. Join us for this three-part workshop series where grow our knowledge and skills around finance as a way to build power within our organizations and in our communities!

Last day to register is this Wednesday! Asian social changemakers, join us in a virtual gathering where we explore the power of racial affinity groups to build community and solidarity: https://lnkd.in/gvwkv4R6 Convening in racial affinity groups is a powerful way to transform relationships and support people in reaching political consciousness and alignment. For diasporic Asian people working in the social change sector, participating in an Asian affinity group with one's peers can further encourage us to liberate our own voices, challenge stereotypes of what Asian people are expected to be, and disrupt both anti-Blackness and internalized racism within ourselves and our organizations. In a time of rising fascism and attacks on DEI and racial justice movements, solidarity and community building remain critical pathways to our resistance and collective liberation. Whether you are an Asian person working in the social change sector who is simply curious about participating in a racial affinity group, or someone who already has experience in practicing racial affinity or caucus work,?we warmly invite you to join us in an intimate session where we explore the value of racial affinity work, and connect our learnings to practices that support each other and our Black colleagues and comrades.

From Vu Le at Nonprofit AF: "We’re now living in terror because of how effective right-wing funders and movements have been. And they’ve been effective because they see clearly that politics is the most potent weapon, and they invest heavily and unapologetically in it. Left-leaning funders, meanwhile, for the most part will do anything?except?engage in politics. As David Callahan?said recently?on LinkedIn:?'While I expect we’ll see philanthropy step up with a lot more emergency funding in the coming months as budget cuts kick in, I’m less confident about philanthropy’s capacity for political combat.'" https://lnkd.in/gBS9N-3q

From William C. Anderson via YES! Media: "The truth of these moments and many others is that if we plan to defy the order of the day, we must decide between what’s worth fighting about and what’s not the best use of our time." https://lnkd.in/gZUZiea9
