We’re proud to announce that CPC Mortgage Company has closed a $5.1M loan for the preservation of the Longfellow Marmion apartments in the Bronx, NY. All 52 units are #affordable available at or below 60% AMI, and 8 units have been reserved for our city's most vulnerable, formerly homeless families and individuals. CPC Mortgage Company’s Freddie Mac TAH Forward loan also helps to ensure the building’s #resiliency and #efficiency for years to come. Oil boilers will be replaced with gas-fired boilers, and solar panels will be installed. ?The Community Preservation Corporation is commemorating five decades of building stronger communities! ? We’re looking forward to coming together to celebrate 50 years of impact, connect with housing innovators and community leaders, and share more about our journey and vision for the future of housing. There’s much to celebrate today. We closed our first fiscal year proud of our $635,000 loan for a rehab of an 87-unit building in Washington Heights—this fiscal year we deployed $640 million in capital and provided stable housing to over 13,000 people. This past year, our 50th, has been uniquely special. CPC secured highly competitive grants and awards, including a $2.4 billion award from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the acquisition of the $5.8 billion loan portfolio of rent-stabilized properties formerly held by Signature Bank. We are grateful that we have also received significant recognition from our peers this year. CPC was recently named “Outstanding CDFI” of the year by Opportunity Finance Network, and we're honored to be receiving the “Legacy Impact Award” at the upcoming New York Housing Conference.
