The last of the issues we covered in our recent CPA Firm Management Association webinar was the use of personality profiles during the hiring process. Here's what firms told us. Don't use anything - 76% Use before first interview - 4% Use before final interview - 16% Use as part of on-boarding - 4% This actually surprised me (on the downside) that so few firms are using this. If you use a Big 5 profile (like our APPQ) the science behind them is good. Better than dealing with the variety and element of preparation (or lack thereof) on both sides of the interview table.
