On #EarthDay, I'm beyond excited to announce the formation of?Critical Point Holdings with?Michael McGroddy and Walker Dimmig. ? Walker, Mike and I have worked on and off together for almost 15 years, starting back to the earliest days of?8 Rivers, and for many years launching and operating?NET Power before the teams today have taken both and run with them to achieve billion-dollar outcomes at both. At those firms and since, each of us have launched and built businesses within and around industrial decarbonization.? Investment has largely been in select technology, project development and infrastructure.?We believe that the associated supply chain is under-invested in and is becoming a Critical Point to support growth.? Look at current challenges in transformers to see this theme already playing out in the power industry, and we’ve been seeing it first-hand in other sectors for years. Time for us to do something about it. ? We’re forming Critical Point to acquire leaders of the future supply chain—the picks and shovels of industrial decarbonization—and then grow them into the lower carbon future, while maintaining scale, cost and reliability the industrial world requires. I couldn’t be more thrilled to do it not only with two exceptional colleagues, but also great long-time friends.
