???Fun Fact of the day: AI skills can increase your tech salary by up to 40% according to a report from Dice. By 2027, the AI job market is projected to grow by 37% BUT 67% of companies report a skills gap in AI talent. I think adding some form of AI skillset can be beneficial, but do you know the difference between an LLM and an AI Agent? As I've been diving deeper into AI this year, I noticed these terms get used interchangeably a lot, but they're actually different. I've been building my own Marvel Jarvis-inspired AI agent (slowly but surely) and this is what I've learned along the way: - LLMs (Large Language Models) are like powerful brains ?? - they process text and generate responses based on their training. Think Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini. - AI Agents are action-oriented workers that use these LLMs as part of their system BUT also have specific goals, can independently take actions, and often interact with multiple systems. My Jarvis project will be able to check my emails, manage my calendar, send text reminders, and adjust my schedule based on weather changes. It uses an LLM for understanding and communication, but the agent framework is what allows it to take meaningful actions across different platforms. The tech industry needs more professionals who understand both traditional systems AND AI implementations. If you're already in tech as a cloud engineer, or a techie role then your existing knowledge is incredibly valuable as you transition into working with AI. A good resource I like to use to learn all things AI is DeepLearning.AI , they have so many free courses to get you started. One of them that you can dive into is Evaluation AI Agents with instructors from Arize AI (John Gilhuly). Check it out and let me know what you think! What AI projects are you working on?
