关于我们

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Each day, thousands of people – people just like you – provide compassionate care to those in need. Our network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, here at home and around the world. We roll up our sleeves and donate time, money and blood. We learn or teach life-saving skills so our communities can be better prepared when the need arises. We do this every day because the Red Cross is needed - every day.

  • Dozens of American Red Cross volunteers from the Colorado and Wyoming region remain on the ground in Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas and Tennessee making sure no one faces the heartbreaking destruction from Hurricanes Milton and Helene alone. From providing food, like Julie and Gary from our Northern Colorado chapter, to sheltering and a shoulder to lean on, Red Cross volunteers are there. People affected by these disasters need urgent help now. Please donate by going to redcross.org or text the word HURRICANES to 90999. Hurricane season isn’t over. If you want to make a difference in the lives of others, consider putting on a red vest and joining us by visiting redcross.org/volunteer.

  • These recent hurricanes have impacted the blood supply. This could put some of the most vulnerable patients — like those battling cancer, undergoing surgeries, or in need of organ transplants — at serious risk. We need your help to restock hospital shelves. If you can, please make an appointment to donate and make a difference for those in need. Those outside the affected areas are encouraged to schedule a blood donation appointment now by visiting RedCrossBlood.org or using our Blood Donor App.

  • For the second time in just two weeks, hundreds of American Red Cross disaster responders are working around the clock to provide safe refuge, comfort and support as Floridians brace for Hurricane Milton, which could be one of the most destructive storms on record. To respond effectively, the Red Cross depends on a large network of trained volunteers and disaster employees, as well as a fleet of response vehicles stocked with relief supplies from across the country. Volunteers from Colorado and Wyoming are on the ground in Florida providing care and comfort to those impacted. Thank you Kim and Phi for your compassion and dedication to helping those in need! People need urgent support now, and we can’t do this alone. Please help by making a financial donation, an appointment to give blood or platelets, or signing up to become a volunteer by visiting redcross.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767).

  • We are extremely grateful for all our volunteers that have raised their hand to deploy and are ready to serve those affected by Hurricane Helene and now Hurricane Milton. For the second time in two weeks, the American Red Cross is racing against the clock as Hurricane Milton barrels toward Florida with the potential to cause catastrophic damage. With massive evacuations underway and homes in shambles from Helene, the Red Cross is there. In Florida, volunteers are now opening evacuation centers across the state to help ensure people in Milton’s path have a safe place to stay. We can't do this alone, please consider volunteer with the Red Cross or making a monetary by going to redcross.org.
