Major Expansion Underway at CCWSA's Shenandoah Wastewater Treatment Facility! ?? We are pleased to announce the expansion of the Shenandoah Wastewater Treatment Facility, a project that will enable us to increase treatment capacity, support expanding infrastructure, return treated water responsibly to nature, and continue to protect public health. Upon completion, this transformative project will increase treatment capacity from 2 million gallons per day (MGD) to 6 MGD, meeting our community's growing needs and reinforcing our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable growth. Through this collaborative project, we’re excited to advance water quality, preserve natural resources, and support sustainable growth for our community. Brown Water Treatment Plant Laboratory was recently awarded the 2024 Laboratory Quality Assurance Gold Award in the category of Drinking Water serving 10,000-100,000 from the Georgia Association of Water Professionals. This award is a testament to our team's hard work in the lab, where they continuously conduct thorough quality assurance and testing to ensure clean and safe drinking water for our community.
