As we approach Thanksgiving this week in the U.S., I find myself reflecting not only on this past year personally, but also on the incredible journey I’ve had with @Covetrus since joining in February. This season of gratitude has me thinking about the people, the moments, and the lessons that have shaped my experience here — and I can’t help but feel an immense appreciation to be part of this amazing team. Here are some of the top reasons: ? ? The Opportunity to Make an Impact: As a leader, my goal has always been to create a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and motivated to do their best. Our mission at Covetrus is to drive better financial and clinical outcomes for veterinarians – which, as you know, ultimately helps the pets we love along with their pet parents. I’m proud to see our team learn and grow while following this amazing mission. ? Resilience and Adaptability: This year has brought its share of challenges, and I’m amazed at the resilience shown by our team, veterinarians, and the broader animal community. Veterinary clinics face so many pressures – from retail competition, rising costs, and complex operations, and the unplanned, natural disasters. Despite these challenges, I’ve witnessed our community and team come together with creativity, determination, and a positive attitude to overcome them. ? Giving Back & Supporting Our Community: I’m grateful for how our team consistently supports the veterinary community. This year, we’ve supported veterinarians through volunteering, donations to organizations like Not One More Vet, and assisting during times of crisis, including Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. It’s inspiring to see how our Covetrus team, alongside the broader animal community, makes a positive impact beyond the workplace. ? ? The Power of the Pack: I’ve been in the healthcare industry for a large portion of my career, but animal healthcare is a new vertical for me. All the teams I’ve been a part of have been special in their own way, but Covetrus really leads by the “Power of the Pack”. Not only is it about our people and our teams, but it’s about the veterinarians and animals that we serve. As a lifelong animal lover myself, I truly feel thankful every day that I get to play a little role in these amazing relationships. ?? I hope my broader LinkedIn community has a joyful and peaceful holiday season ahead. I would love to hear what you’re thankful for this year. ? #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #Leadership #CompanyCulture #HR #ThankYou #PeopleFirst #Reflections
