?? Empowering Youth Through Corporate Partnership ?? At Covenant House New Jersey (CHNJ), we’re incredibly grateful for our corporate partners—Broadridge, Accenture, and JPMorganChase—who recently worked with our young people and are helping to change lives by providing essential skills and real-world experiences for NJ youth overcoming homelessness. ???Broadridge?has been a dedicated partner since 2019, recently leading an interactive event with our youth at their Newark office called the “Broadridge Battle,” where youth engaged in job interview prep and teamwork activities in a game format. These hands-on experiences build confidence and essential skills, creating lasting, supportive connections with corporate volunteers. Read More About Broadridge Battle https://lnkd.in/eQ8ftBAY ???Accenture?has been bringing career pathways to life through workshops and training in technology and consulting for many years. Programs like the Future Tech Institute and recent Financial Skills training in their NYC office both introduce our youth to the professional world and build expertise and confidence. As one youth participant shared, “It’s opened my eyes to opportunities I didn’t think possible.” Read More About Youth Trip to Accenture NYC https://lnkd.in/eBrwfEaf ?? JPMorganChase?helps us emphasize financial literacy—an invaluable skill for independence. Through workshops on credit management, budgeting, and banking, plus trips to the local Newark branch, our young people are learning to take control of their financial futures. One youth expressed how meaningful it was to meet real bankers and learn about the importance of financial tools. Read More About JPMC Youth Financial Workshops https://lnkd.in/eabR-R94 As we approach?Giving Tuesday on December 3rd, we invite you and your company to join us in supporting CHNJ and making a difference. "Last month, the Philadelphia 76ers welcomed CHNJ youth and staff to an unforgettable night at the Wells Fargo Center. Thanks to the incredible hospitality of the Sixers team, our group enjoyed VIP treatment—from floor seating during warmups and prime game seats to food vouchers and a chance to meet Olympic silver medalist and Sixers star Guerschon Yabusele. Moments like these mean the world to our young people. Beyond the excitement of the game, these experiences remind them they are valued and supported. Thank you, Philadelphia 76ers, for investing in our youth and helping make memories they’ll carry with them forever. Welcome back to "the Cov", Jim! We’re thrilled to have you join the team and look forward to the leadership, experience, and new insights you’ll bring to the table.
Sharing notes on my recent journey -- here's the first of 3 posts! I'm proud to announce a new beginning! On September 30th, I joined Covenant House New Jersey, working in the development department. I'm incredibly honored to join a team so committed to providing absolute respect, unconditional love and unrelenting support to youth experiencing homelessness! This is a sort of homecoming for me: I was an outreach and intake worker at Covenant House Texas as a newly minted college graduate. To be able to rejoin this stellar organization is a privilege! I appreciate the warm welcome the entire team has given me -- including our CEO, Julia Einbond, with whom I was grateful for a delicious lunch and great conversation. Looking forward to sharing more with you in Journey Post 2!

A huge thank you to our incredible Board Members—Eric Andersen, Paul McKeon, and Kean Driscoll—for their leadership in making last week’s event at the Morris County Golf Club a resounding success! Over 200 executives from the (Re)Insurance industry and their guests came together for a night of networking, dinner, and inspiring talks. One of the evening’s highlights was a moving testimony from a CHNJ alumna who has transitioned from homelessness to independence as a teacher who is about to embark on pursuing her Master’s in Education. Her story of resilience was followed by former pro baseball player and TV commentator Al Leiter, who energized the room with his passion for success and the importance of hard work, mentorship, and setting goals. By the end of the night, over $250,000 was raised to support youth overcoming homelessness in NJ! ?? The momentum continues with the 10th Annual (Re)Insurance Sleep Out on Friday, October 18th in Newark, NJ. It's not too late to join!
