Our CEO, Renee’ Trincanello and Community Services Outreach Coordinator, Takelia Harvey were honored to attend a Town Hall & Resource Fair hosted by Congressman Maxwell Frost. ? The event focused on the recent actions of the new Administration and their impact on our Central Florida community. It was a great opportunity to discuss critical issues, raise concerns, and connect with other local organizations offering vital resources and support. ? Thank you to everyone who came out to join the conversation and advocate for change! Together, we can create a stronger, more resilient community for all. ? #CovenantHouseFlorida #CommunitySupport #CentralFlorida #Advocacy #StrongerTogether #MakeADifference #LeadwithLove

February is Black History Month — an opportunity for Americans to learn and reflect on the details of the nation’s history and how it was built. As the saying goes, Black history?is?American history—and it’s a varied and rich history. A wise nation honors and learns from its past. What happened in the past shapes and informs where we are heading in the future, and it’s of paramount importance to set aside a month for learning as much as we can about Black history. Young people who are Black, Hispanic, and Indigenous experience homelessness at higher rates, largely due to systemic and structural racism. It’s critical for everyone in the community to know and recognize the valuable contributions of these ethnic communities to our society and to support their young people as they develop their own identities and grow.
