Hatchery member Waqar Hussain, G’25 MBA (Whitman) and founder of Iconnic.Cloud, won first place for the second consecutive year at ‘Cuse Tank competition held in Bird Library during Family Weekend. Iconnic.Cloud is a fully managed cloud hosting platform, built with proprietary software to deliver customized hosting solutions.

Ken Davenport, co-founder and CEO of Mission Edge, visited the Syracuse University - Martin J. Whitman School of Management where he led an intimate conversation with entrepreneurs in the Couri Hatchery Incubator. Davenport focused on cultivating a mindset for success, sharing his "Six Stoic Rules for Life" from his latest book, The Stoic Edge, and offering advice on navigating challenges faced by emerging startups. A seasoned entrepreneur and speaker, Davenport teaches at Syracuse University’s Institute for Veterans and Military Families - IVMF. He holds degrees from UC San Diego and the London School of Economics.

It’s a must-read! Bailey won $7,500 at the 2023 Panasci Competition, including the Gilded Rising Social Entrepreneur Prize from Whitman alumnus Scott Friedberg '14, which helped launch ZEAL’s first issue in May 2023.

During his visit, Lettieri shared his real-world experiences on resilience, navigating relationships, and the importance of social equity and capital. RTS has redefined waste management through a digital platform that prioritizes efficiency, transparency, and environmental responsibility. By providing businesses and communities with real-time data, RTS is disrupting a stagnant industry and offering visibility into their climate impact. Daniel Montaigne ‘95 returns to Syracuse University for Family Weekend, taking the opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs in the Couri Hatchery Incubator at Whitman. With experience in deal structuring and negotiation, Montaigne gave advice on pitching, customer acquisition through sales, fundraising strategies, and the importance of building strong relationships.
