What do you do when your very existence is perceived as a threat? When your truth is dismissed, and silence seems like the safer choice? In *The Hate U Give*, Starr Carter faces a painful dilemma—she must decide whether to remain silent or risk everything to seek justice after witnessing the tragic police shooting of her childhood friend, Khalil. Her journey vividly illustrates the harsh realities that countless Black Americans continue to experience today. Right now, important conversations about race are being silenced. History is being rewritten, and the truth is being erased. But what will happen if we choose to stop speaking out? This scene transcends mere cinematic moments; it reflects the urgent state of our society. What emotions does this powerful scene evoke in you? How does it connect with the Courageous Conversation? we must engage in today? #CourageousConversation

Providing training, coaching and consulting services for millions of racial equity leaders around the world.
关于我们
Pacific Educational Group is a consulting firm committed to forging racial equity. Over its 25-year history, its mission has expanded from its original focus on transforming PreK-12 education and the United States. A broader scope of work now addresses race in higher education, corporations, non-profits, and law enforcement in Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, as well. We believe systemic racism is the most devastating factor contributing to the diminished capacity of all people, and especially people of color and indigenous people, to achieve at the highest levels. It fractures our communities and erodes the support and nourishment we would otherwise receive from them. We cannot hope to eliminate the racially predictable outcomes of our lives unless we first discuss race and racism in a way that is earnest, honest, and sustainable. To that end, we have developed Courageous Conversation?, a process to understand and discuss race explicitly. Hundreds of thousands of people have learned The Courageous Conversation About Race Protocol ? from Pacific Educational Group’s diverse and dynamic staff. These representatives of various professions, regions, and life experiences work together to design curriculum, facilitate seminars, and coach leaders to use Courageous Conversation? in their personal and professional lives.

Women’s history isn’t just about the past—it’s happening now. Across politics, activism, business, and tech, women are breaking barriers and shaping the future. These seven leaders are driving change in real-time. #CourageousConversation #WomensHistoryMonth

You address the issue of someone being racially profiled, and the room falls silent. Someone shifts uncomfortably in their seat. A friend comments, "It's not that deep." But it is. Discussing race isn't comfortable—it's meant to challenge, disrupt, and make people think. Discomfort is not the enemy; silence is. Embrace the discomfort because the consequences of avoiding these conversations are far worse than the conversations themselves. #CourageousConversation

Did you know? St. Patrick's Day is often viewed through an Irish lens, but in Montserrat, it's also a story of Black resistance. On March 17, 1768, enslaved Africans planned a rebellion against their oppressors, using the distraction of St. Patrick's Day celebrations to seize their freedom. Though the revolt was discovered, their fight lives on. Today, Montserrat's St. Patrick's Day isn't just about Irish heritage—it's a reminder that resistance to oppression is woven into history. #CourageousConversation #StPatricksDay #Didyouknow #History

Truth isn’t just knowing what’s right—it’s having the courage to speak it. This #WomensHistoryMonth, we honor the women who refuse to wait for change, who challenge power, and who speak truth—no matter the cost. #CourageousConversation

Black women lead justice movements, yet society continues to push them out of the narrative. Police killed Breonna Taylor on March 13, 2020, but the world ignored her name until months later, after protests for George Floyd. Everyday must be a fight for visibility, recognition, and protection. #CourageousConversation

Conversations about race are happening—but too often, they happen without us. Decisions are being made, history is being rewritten, and narratives are being shaped. If we're not at the table, we're on the menu. Before we engage, we must ground ourselves in the Four Agreements of Courageous Conversation?. These agreements help us stay present, push through discomfort, and ensure our voices are heard. First up: Stay Engaged. Ignoring the conversation won't stop the impact—it just gives others the power to shape it without us.
