The Bexar County Clerk’s Office had a successful week, marked by Thanksgiving celebrations in various departments, where staff and coworkers shared a meal together. Our front office staff were treated by Mrs. Adame-Clark and her Chiefs for all their hard work throughout the year. The Bexar County Clerk's Office was honored to present HRMAC San Antonio with the donations collected from the Mass Military Weddings performed by Mrs. Adame-Clark around Veterans Day, with a total of $300 being presented to Jose “Pepe” Arzola and Goldie Dady. HRMAC San Antonio is a local nonprofit organization providing services to Veterans and their families dealing with homelessness, unemployment and assisting with transitional services, thereby improving their quality of life and future. Mrs. Adame-Clark and her team were invited to attend Southside High School’s College, Career & Military Fair, alongside esteemed universities from near and far, where they highlighted the county’s tuition reimbursement benefits for full-time employees pursuing education. They also spoke to interesting organizations such as the Naoko Mitsui Shirane Foundation, an incredible exchange program which has deep roots with San Antonio’s business history. During the weekend, the Bexar County Clerk's Office, assisted by the Bexar County Sheriff's Office and Bexar County Public Works, worked jointly with GovOS and QNet to replace equipment in several departments including Recordings, Deed Records, Vital Statistics, and Marriage & DBA Departments. Our exceptional leadership staff devoted their time at the office from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. The team comprised the following esteemed members: Susan Sepulveda, Eva Gomez, Enrique Caballero, Margaret Roque, Jeanette Sanchez, Ralph Arce, Edgar Lopez, Frances Arce, and Denise Noonan. On Monday morning, each member arrived early to conduct additional testing, ensuring optimal readiness for our customers. We appreciate the valuable contributions of Lt. Ortega and his Sheriff's Office staff, Deborah 'Deedee' Velasquez and her Public Works team, Ron Styer from GovOs, and Abe Medina and his QNet team in helping our office implement new equipment to improve constituent services. Before departing on Sunday, we received correspondence from Abe Medina at QNet which read: “As of this morning, we've completed the installs. Thanks to Susan and her team of awesome volunteers who helped us with ensuring their offices were prepped with the installation of the new equipment and even helped us move equipment and helped trash management, and made sure we were fed!
