The work of Council of Churches of the Ozarks would not be possible without our volunteers. One of our most exuberant volunteers is Zach from Firefly Supportive Living. Zach partners with our Facilities Coordinator, Nate, and helps with everything from vacuuming to sanitizing door knobs to removing trash. His enthusiasm and encouragement make him a bright spot in our week. Last month, our incredible Safe to Sleep team stepped up to the plate and made a huge difference in the lives of three women. They helped the women overcome obstacles and secured sustainable housing for these amazing individuals. Three more formerly unhoused women now have a place to call their own! The Council of Churches of the Ozarks Volunteer Resource Team has been crushing it to launch our Guest Connections Switchboard Suite! Our volunteers are on a mission to bridge the gap and connect folks with the assistance they require. Every volunteer undergoes training and eagerly signs up for shifts from Monday to Friday. Why? Because they understand the importance of human connection, especially in times of need. No automated messages here – just genuine, caring individuals ready to lend an ear and offer support.
