ACQ is pleased to announce that Eileen Mendes has been hired as an accreditation reviewer. Eileen brings over 20 years’ experience in human services, including center-based, home-based, and school-based settings. Most recently, Eileen served as vice president of compliance and quality at Autism Care Partners, where she supported implementation of best practices and alignment with generally accepted standards of care, as well as ensured compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations across six states. She also chairs the Professional Practice Committee of BABAT (Massachusetts Professionals in Behavior Analysis), was a founding member of the Massachusetts Coalition of ABA Providers (MassCAP), and vice-chaired the ACQ Standards Committee. “I’m excited for this opportunity,” Eileen said. “I’ve experienced first-hand the many barriers that exist to improving the quality of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. That’s what led me to get involved with the ACQ Standards Committee. I’m eager to take that work to the next level, joining the team full-time to review accreditation applications.” Read the full press release: https://lnkd.in/gXCC2cz3

CASP has released session note templates for every Category 1 adaptive behavior CPT? Code! https://lnkd.in/gUTN4ygJ Developed by CASP's Documentation SIG, led by Rebecca Womack and Dr. Heather O'Shea, these templates: - Align with standard medical documentation practices. - Reflect generally accepted standards of care for ABA services in accordance with CASP's Applied Behavior Analysis Practice Guidelines. - Comport with American Medical Association CPT? code requirements. We're thrilled to release these templates to CASP members and to the broader ABA community. With effective advocacy, our hope is for broad payer adoption, resulting in less administrative effort for ABA providers. Until then, it's important to remember that these templates may not meet every payer's requirements. Organizations are responsible for reviewing their individual payer contracts and ensuring the documentation templates meet payer requirements. You can hear Rebecca and Heather discuss the new templates on an episode of the PodCASP: https://lnkd.in/gGqneYFH.
