We’re excited to share that Chris LaFerla had the opportunity to serve as a panelist at The Future of Human Care Symposium in Omaha on October 15, 2024. He joined community leaders Kimberly Barnes (CASA Omaha), Blake Johnson (Habitat for Humanity Council Bluffs), and Bob Goldberg (Jewish Federation) to discuss The Future of Volunteering. The panel dove deep into how volunteerism is evolving and its critical role in building stronger, more resilient communities. We’re proud of Chris for representing our organization and contributing to this important conversation.

Southwest Iowa legislative candidates gathered Monday evening to talk with community members during the Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce's second candidate meet and greet. "I think it's important for the public to have an opportunity to meet with the candidates," said Chris LaFerla, the chamber's president and CEO. "They aren't debating. They're just talking to their neighbors that they represent."

Rock the Block 2024 was a remarkable day filled with inspiration, effort, and dedication. This day was about more than just improving the neighborhood’s appearance—it was about building meaningful relationships.
