Some states continue to run their grant programs to keep on target of expanding reliable high-speed internet to their constituents. ?? Global Innovation – Countries are leveraging AI and mobile broadband to solve connectivity needs. Notable developments include AgriTech advancements, China Telecom’s two-person drone helicopter, and Viettel’s Search-and-Rescue drone. ?? Utilities & Broadband – More Electric Co-Ops are investing in broadband, with increases in AI, data, and bandwidth developments, more data centers are popping up in rural areas, raising power and connectivity demands. ?? M&A Activity – The broadband industry is seeing more and more mergers and acquisitions. Understanding asset valuation and market potential is crucial for both sellers and investors. With Wisconsin's grant process powered by CostQuest’s Custom Grant Award Management System, Wisconsin’s Round 1 results are in: ?? 425 applications were submitted ?? $2.9 B in total BEAD Funds were requested ???95% of eligible locations included in submitted applications -- 188,926 out of 199,067 eligible locations ?? This is a significant step forward in helping Wisconsin expand internet access to its citizens through the use of precise data and systems to distribute funds efficiently.
