We kicked off 2025 with several impactful community and company events to support and celebrate our team, make meaningful connections with our consumers, and improve our #partnerships with vendors and other industry leaders. Community Health Fair: Sponsored by Costa Farms and Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins, this event provided health education, screenings, and other resources to local farm workers. Vendor Summit: Our top commercial partners gathered at our headquarters for a full day of strategy, industry insights, and alignment, with a focus on strengthening our relationships and identifying innovations that add value for everyone. Tropical Plant International Expo: Industry leaders gathered in Fort Lauderdale to showcase the latest varieties, host educational sessions, and vote on the top new plants for 2025. Intramural Games: Our team members competed in a series of reality-style obstacle courses and skill-based games for the 2025 champion title. National Business Meeting: Our annual companywide convention to align on organizational strategy and equip our team members with essential industry insights for 2025. Alfalit Graduation: We celebrated our 260 team members who successfully completed our onsite courses in Spanish and Creole literacy, as well as conversational English. PlantCon: We connected with our consumers in Orlando at the most notorious convention for plant enthusiasts. New Team Member Farm Tour: Our Miami-based team members visited two of our local farms for a firsthand look at daily operations. Employee Appreciation Day: Team members received a Lucky Bamboo along with a thank you card from us.

Our trucks have a new look! We launched our first ever branded truck fleet last week at our driver kickoff event, where we trained our current drivers and onboarded new ones. ?? This project was a huge coordination effort between our transport and marketing teams, and nearly a year in the making! We are so proud of the individuals who made this historic moment a reality. We're heading to Broward County Convention Center for the 2025 Tropical Plant International Expo next week! This year, we are hosting a series of educational sessions at our newly revamped booth! We will be covering topics including sustainability, tropical plant trends, pest management, and more. We are also THRILLED to be hosting Plant Celebrity Hilton Carter at our booth on Wednesday (1/23) afternoon! Known for his plant-terior design sense, Hilton has been featured on The Today Show, New York Times, and is a published author. Stop by at Booth #1439 ??

The award sponsor, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, highlighted our strong commitment to sustainable agricultural practices, a balance of productivity and environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement in our sustainability efforts. We are honored to have been recognized as an industry leader in this capacity and look forward to furthering our sustainability practices through innovation in the coming years. ? Some of our most notable initiatives in this space include: ? More Profitable Sustainability (MPS)-Certified: We are dedicated to the reduction and responsible management of pesticide use. ? We adhere to the Agricultural Best Management Practices (BMPs) established by FDACS; this includes effective nutrient management and water resource protection. ? Our onsite Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program, which has allowed us to significantly reduce our pesticide use. ? We maintain several acres of conservation properties that enhance local biodiversity and manage agricultural runoff. ? Our waste reduction practices, such as soil sterilization, repurposing of discarded materials, and reusing trays.
