Our spring pick-up day was a success! We are proud to say we donated a total of 1,533 pounds of food to the South Corvallis Food Bank. A huge shoutout to our amazing coordinator, Shahar Miles, for all the hard work she puts in, and another big thank you to all of our donors and volunteers. With your help, we are able to fight food insecurity within our communities.??
During these past few months, our team partnered with members of our community and Oregon State University's Greek Life in the ongoing fight against hunger. Our students organized multiple rounds of door-to-door outreach for two major collection events. On April 27th, we donated a grand total of 1,533 pounds of food to the SOUTH CORVALLIS FOOD BANK! A sincere thank you to our local donors for their support. Our gratitude extends to Grocery Outlet, Trader Joe's and First Alternative Co-op for supplying the bulk of our tote bags. Shout out to Sigma Kappa Sorority & Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity for being the biggest contributors of cans! To my team- your commitment translates into the success of this program. Thank you for your Saturday mornings, constant support, and words of encouragement during our first year of operation. A final heartfelt appreciation to Marcy Bliss for her enthusiastic mentorship and Eric Nelson, in partnership with Sales @ OSU. Your guidance has been truly pivotal for this collection. Well done to everyone involved; I am looking forward to the years ahead!
