Great teams need great tools. Max Kanat-Alexander, Principal Staff Software Engineer at LinkedIn, breaks it down: the most experienced engineers don’t just build—they create the systems and tools that power their teams to move faster and smarter. That’s how senior engineers turn into productivity engineers. We’re excited to have Max speak at IDPCON, where he’ll dive into "Data-Driven DevEx at LinkedIn." Join us to learn how to drive developer excellence with the right tools and data-driven insights.??? ??? Register now at?https://idpcon.com

Poor onboarding experience is a top complaint for new devs wanting to make impact quickly. And it's no wonder—when just getting up to speed means sifting through outdated wiki pages, sending an embarrassing number of Slacks/Teams messages, and only really being 80% sure what you're looking at is even relevant. As the abstraction layer for all of your development tools, teams, tasks, and documentation, IDPs are the perfect path to accelerating impact. - Make it easier to find information about software - Ensure ownership is always up to date - Provide automations that cut down on context switching across sources

We're right in the middle of a lot of changes to how organizations build their platform engineering strategy. And while we answer some questions, we're opening more. We've moved on from, "Should we abstract" to, "How much abstraction is too much?" And "Is multi-cloud possible?" to, "Which multi-cloud strategy is best?" And, "Should we invest in Platform Engineering?" to, "Should Platform Eng be centralized or decentralized?" While we don't have all the answers, just getting caught up on the latest debates is a great way to stay up to speed. Check out the blog for more. https://lnkd.in/gf6bJXf6
