We are proud to be recognized with a Silver Nightingale Award at The 2024 Healthcare Design Conference + Expo. The Nightingale Awards - the industry’s leading program to recognize products related to the healthcare built environment - are named for Florence Nightingale, a tireless advocate for the improvement of care and conditions in military and civilian hospitals in the 1800s. The judging criteria for the awards is the product’s contribution or solution for clinical or operational outcomes; aesthetics and innovation; built environment solution, durability, functionality, and quality; industry certifications and standards; environmental sustainability; and list price. To evaluate the entries, jurors visited exhibitors’ booths before the Healthcare Design Expo opened to examine the products, hear the story of their design and development, and ask questions. The Solstice Safeguard Bed is a patent pending product that addresses 'fall risks' in Behavioral Healthcare Environments while maintaining ligature resistance. Our furniture is designed to humanize patient care and promote healing in the Behavioral Healthcare Environment. #BehavioralHealthcareFurniture #HCD #NightingaleAward

Meet us at the Healthcare Design Conference and Expo on October 5-8 in Indianapolis. Booth #945 Joseph Claffy, John Claffy, & Kevin Claffy will be on site showcasing a few of our newest products, including the Solstice Safeguard Bed which will be reviewed for a Nightingale Award. Here's the problem we solved: The prevalence of seizure disorders in acute psychiatric facilities is 5-6 times higher than reports in the general population. Almost 1 of 4 (23.4%) patients scored positive to one or more screening criteria for epilepsy or other seizure disorders in these environments. The use of medications in psychiatric settings are significant predictors of inpatient falls. Extrinsic Factors (environmental factors) that contribute to patient falls include a lack of support equipment, such as side rails when patients are getting in and out of bed. Did you know? The average cost of a fall is about $14,000 The Solstice Safeguard Bed is the first molded bed that prevents falls AND it's still ligature resistant. Come see for yourself! #HCD #HCD2024 #HealthcareDesign #BehavioralHealthFurniture

Redefining Correctional Spaces This project exemplifies our commitment to reimagining spaces traditionally associated with confinement into places that support rehabilitation and positive outcomes for all. Together, we're setting a new standard in correctional facility design - one that prioritizes safety, human dignity, and the well-being of both residents and staff. Here are a few of our guiding design principles: ? Human Centered Design - empathy driven design choices that prioritize comfort, accessibility, and dignity ? Safety and Security - using materials that are durable, tamper-resistant, and minimize risks, such as self harm or violence ? Functionality and Efficiency - furniture that serves multiple purposes and enhances operational efficiency ? Ergonomics - designs that support physical comfort and health; it also accommodates various body types and mobility needs ? Aesthetics and Atmosphere - color schemes and textures that create calming and welcoming spaces that positively impact mood and mental health #CorrectionalDesign #HumanCenteredSpaces #InnovationInSafety #CommunityWellbeing #TransformativeDesign

Giving Back to Our Community: Making a Difference Together ? At Cortech USA, we believe in the power of community and giving back. We are actively involved with more that 30 organizations that are making a positive impact locally and nationally. ? Recently, we've had the privilege of contributing to our local Food Pantry at St. Cletus Parish. ? The St. Cletus Food Pantry opens its doors every Thursday to welcome residents of the Lyons Township community who are striving to make ends meet. They provide groceries, personal items, and household goods. ? We've been able to personally volunteer our time and provide hygiene kits (toothbrushes, toothpaste, body soap, shampoo, razors, shave cream, etc.). ? These efforts reflect our commitment to our community and a responsibility to uplift those around us.

Internship season comes to a close....it was great having you this summer Gavin Flood.
As the summer comes to a close, I'm excited to reflect on the incredible internship experience at Cortech USA. I'm grateful to have worked alongside a talented and supportive team. During my time here, I experienced functions in the sales, shipping, and operations departments. Working with internal operations systems gave me a deeper understanding of customer relationship management tools. The hands-on experience and mentorship I received were invaluable. Thanks to Joseph Claffy, David Jennings, John Claffy, and Kevin Claffy for their guidance and support. Their encouragement has been instrumental in my professional growth. As I move forward, I'm excited to continue building on this amazing foundation that began at Cortech USA.

NASCAR Chicago Street Race 2024 We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Joey Gase Motorsports! The Cortech USA #35 car was fast in practice, finishing P22. Unfortunately, we broke a valve spring in the last run of practice which kept us out of the qualifying. Our team was in the pit lane for an exhilarating weekend of high-speed action and camaraderie at the heart of the Windy City. Catch us on July 20th at Indianapolis Motor Speedway!
