No matter title or level of experience, we all have room for continuous improvement... this belief lead me to enlist as a mentee in CORT's AIM Mentoring Program. Over the next 9 months the partnership with my mentor will help me grow my self-awareness skills, and help me further understand how to better serve my operations workforce clients. If I had to take one thing away from my first mentor/mentee meeting, it would be that my role in operational support and success is based on my whole hearted desire to protect our business from liability, balanced with real-world expectations to ensure workforce safety and client satisfaction.

Had a great time at the CoreNet Global, Northern California Chapter event in San Jose on Wednesday! The conversation around “Taking the Doughnut” was a powerful reminder that going after what you want starts with shifting your mindset. Melissa Forziat, the keynote speaker, shared a great technique for pushing past self-doubt. When the inner critic tells you that you can’t, shouldn’t, or don’t deserve something, it’s helpful to have a response ready. She suggested three sentence starters: ? I am – a statement of affirmation ? I can – a statement of ability ? I will figure it out – a statement of resourcefulness The one that resonated with me most was “I will figure it out.” I thrive on problem-solving and adapting as I go, so this mindset is a great reminder that I don’t need to have everything figured out in advance - I just need to trust in my ability to find a way forward. It was also great to see Tatiana Mejia, Leni Rivera, Inna Harbove and Nichole Robertson, and to meet Sanaa Hussain, Aileen Lattmann, and Kara Johnston.
