Corpus Christi International Airport

Two weeks ago, the Coastal Bend experienced numerous fires, and we felt the impact at the airport. On March 4th, a grass fire broke out outside our terminal, near International Drive. Our Public Safety Officers and Operations team acted swiftly, working to extinguish the fire until the Annaville Fire Department arrived to assist. This month, these dedicated staff members were recognized as 'City Champions' for going above and beyond to ensure everyone's safety, prevent property damage, and allow the airport to quickly resume normal operations. ?? ?? On Friday, February 28th, Corpus Christi International Airport attended the AAF-Coastal Bend 2025 American Advertising Awards and went home with a Gold ADDY Award and the Best Out-of-Home Award for our "Welcome to Corpus Christi" mural, designed by Savannah Garza. ?????? A huge thank you to Savannah, our incredible CCIA team, Lacey Guzman, and Kevin Smith for their collaborative brilliance in creating this stunning mural. It's transformed our terminal into a vibrant space, and we're thrilled to see it garnering the recognition it deserves! ?

As part of our terminal-wide dining space renovations, our full-service restaurant is being transformed into the Gulf Coast Capital Restaurant and Bar. The renovation is expected to take 60 days, with an anticipated opening in late April/early May 2025. ?? During the renovation, passengers can still enjoy pre-flight refreshments at Island Joe's Coffee Shop or the Nueces Brewing Bar. ?

Starting 2025 off STRONG! ?? Last month, we saw continued growth in passenger numbers, with 54,320 travelers passing through our airport. This marks a 3% increase from 2024 and a 13% increase from 2023! ???? This positive trend is a direct result of the support from our community and business travelers. Your choice to fly local is crucial in demonstrating the strength of our market and attracting new airlines and routes. ????

This achievement is a testament to the growing strength of our regional economy and the increasing demand for convenient air travel options.
