Please join us on Thursday, October 24 for the Coro Orange County Leadership Luncheon to celebrate Coro's 2025 Orange County return. In addition to community networking, the luncheon will feature a Coro alumna panel, moderated by Natalie Samarjian, discussing their leadership practices and the impact Coro has had on them. A thank you to event cohosts Eileen Padberg and John Withers and to our alumna panelists Brateil Aghasi, Jessica Fernandez, and Stacy Spencer, MPA. Beginning in Spring 2025, Coro will re-launch our Women in Leadership program in Orange County. Coro is more than just a leadership development institute — we are a vibrant community, and our Gala beautifully showcases the power of that connection. On September 26, we celebrated the incredible achievements of Craig Ehrlich, Nadine Watt, Stephen Cheung, and Cedars-Sinai at Coro Southern California’s 49th Annual Crystal Eagle Awards Gala. Congratulations to our honorees, who embody the visionary, innovative, and transformative leadership that Coro strives to cultivate. A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors and supporters for making this evening possible. I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: Climate Resilience Leadership Network (CRLN) from Coro Southern California! I'm grateful for the deep conversations, connections, and insights I gained through this program. It's so important to have a support network in this field, and I've gained one through my amazing cohort members. Thank you Coro and ARLA for this opportunity!

I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: Climate Resilience Leadership Network (CRLN) from Coro Southern California! It was a joy getting to know, work with, and learn from my incredibly talented CRLN cohort through this program. Having the opportunity to explore and apply the principles behind Accelerate Resilience L.A.’s Living Infrastructure Toolkit and Regenisis Institute’s living systems thinking facilitated my ability to see the potential of places and all the living systems associated and to take an asset-based development approach to honor those complex systems. Thank you to my CRLN colleagues for doing the good work as changemakers to make L.A. a more healthy and resilient city.

This past week served as an incredible reminder of the power of community, collaboration, and conversation. Feeling deeply grateful to be surrounded by talented colleagues and to have the opportunity to partner with inspiring organizations that are truly making an impact across Los Angeles. From kicking off the week with my colleagues and friends Nicole M.B. Mitchell, MBA, CDP, Nicole Anderson, JD, MBA, FACHE, and Caroline Goldzweig to discuss women in leadership with The Cedars-Sinai Accelerator, to celebrating the incredible civic leadership of Natalie Samarjian and all of the accomplishments of Coro Southern California at their Crystal Eagle Awards, to closing out the week with my incredible team and over 80 of Cedars-Sinai’s partners at our very first Health Equity Convening (led by the incomparable Emily Skehan), the conversations, shared insights, and collective energy have left me motivated and excited for what's to come. With so much gratitude, onward.
