Hmmm think maybe he’d say this instead …. …you’re a glutton for punishment… Let’s call it like it is…. Most people today are gorging themselves on mediocrity… Feasting on comfort… Stuffing themselves with distraction, numbing out with entertainment, junk food, porn, cheap dopamine….anything to avoid the raw truth… You’re soft. You’re sedated…. …and worst of all, you F-ing know it. Society has fattened you up on passivity…. They’ve sold you the lie that a safe, predictable life is the goal. That grinding out a job you hate, coming home to a family that barely respects you, and coasting through life without a fight is somehow “winning.”?????? You think success is a bigger house, a nicer vehicle, a fancier vacation. GENTS - You think masculinity is buying a gun and growing a beard….hell maybe throw on some ink…ya know for good measure… WARRIORS- you think leadership is just talking about change…yet when it’s time to execute, when it’s time to sacrifice comfort, bleed for a mission, and stand for something…. where are you? Still sitting…STILL scrolling…STILL waiting for life to happen to you. People today aren’t hungry… …Not for challenge Not for purpose Not for the battle that turns normal people into warriors.. You don’t need another pep talk…. You need to starve the weakness… Cut off the lifeline to comfort…. Get f????????kin aggressive about your future. Surround yourself with those who REFUSE to be tame…. ….or stay where you are…. Keep consuming the same narrative… Keep waiting…. Keep being a glutton for the status quo…. ….Just don’t expect respect, legacy, or fire in your soul. Those belong to the REBELS who refuse to be fattened for slaughter. - sincerely …… Mic ?? drop - Jesus exit stage left… ???? Here’s my take on this day… F????????k the flowers and the soft speeches… Instead… I’ll raise a PINT ?? to the WARRIORS the BUILDERS the REBELS the FIGHTERS the ones who REFUSE to play small. To the ones BORN and FORGED in the ?? FIRE… Let EACH day be about the women who break barriers, build empires, and stand unshaken in the face of THE GREATEST OF GIANTS. The ones who lead with power, love with depth, and REFUSE to be anything but unapologetically themselves. To the mothers raising the next generation of WARRIORS. To the CEOs and entrepreneurs rewriting the rules. To the women who show up, stand tall, and NEVER back down. You are not delicate... F????????k NO ?????? You are DANGEROUS!! “Fortune favors… …the ones… Who don’t f????????k with me.” This “death” coin ?? from ZEROFOXTROT, given to me by my wife, sits right by our family’s photograph in my office… It’s one of my favorite things in that office actually. A reminder … that unfortunately sometimes I need. A reminder that I don’t back down on what I stand for or believe in just because it’s unpopular with the “general crowd”… or because those critics choose to flap gum in my general direction… Yeah… back down… hmmmm .. nah … Get LOUDER…. ???? …. Yup. Now, in this process I have come across some actual badasses that put my efforts to shame. This leads me to my second favorite thing in my office now! A set of coasters made by a true blue MONSTER SLAYER - Jessica Owen. Jessica and her husband Ben Owen are the founders of We Fight Monsters … an org. that pushes back against human trafficking…. that provides HOPE in this dark AF world. These BADASS coasters are featured in the video. I encourage you to connect with these warriors and grab yourself a set. I was unsure if I should post this or not but I said f* it. 151 days ago I found myself shaking in my kitchen trying to cook eggs. I turned the oven off and collapsed on my knees with tears running down my face. I lost the game of life and thinking this is who I am? An alcoholic trying to raise two kids as a single father. My body hurt. I was consistently drunk every night and functionally hungover every day. My liver was shutting down and I was dying from the inside out. It was that very moment I picked up the phone and called everyone. My mom, my sisters, and even my ex-wife. I asked for help. Not money, not for someone to tell me its ok, just for someone to tell me I can do this. February 20th was the first morning I woke up without being hungover. I went through 2 weeks of hell before feeling somewhat normal. Night sweats, body tremors, and nauseous 24/7. But I f'n did it. March 7th was the first day I woke up hydrated, full of energy, and the motivation to conquer the world. I look back at that day almost every day and remember that feeling. The feeling of nothing can stop me. It took me 20 years to get sober for me. I'm proud of where this journey is going and I wouldn't change a thing about it. Thank you to all the people who stood by me and have watched me go through this. Life is good. Thank you mom, my sisters, and even my ex-wife for answering the call that day. This is the story of Dan and he is sober. **this is another powerful story I read recently- and a demonstration of what can happen when: 1. You get honest with yourself.. 2. “The First Voyage” “Casting off the chains…” The boy stood at the ship’s edge, watching the last sliver of land disappear. He had stepped aboard, but doubt still clung to him like an anchor. The Captain joined him. “Ever seen a ship tied to the dock?” The boy nodded. “No matter the wind or sea, it won’t move forward.” The Captain eyed the boy. “So what’s still tying you down?” The boy hesitated. He could still hear the voices of his past…bullies, failures, the weight of every moment that told him he wasn’t enough. “I don’t know.” The Captain grabbed a thick rope and tossed it at his feet. “Then let’s find out.” The boy picked it up. “Now walk,” the Captain ordered. The boy stepped forward, but the rope dragged behind him, heavy and unrelenting. He stumbled. “Too much?” The Captain asked. The boy’s breath hitched. “Yes.” The Captain nodded. “That weight? It’s every doubt, every lie, every scar. You keep gripping it, and it will always hold you back.” The boy clenched his jaw. “But I don’t know who I am without it.” The Captain rested a hand on his shoulder. “Then it’s time to find out.” The boy swallowed. His fingers trembled. For so long, the weight had been his. But here, with the wind in the sails and open sea ahead, something inside him stirred. A different voice. His own. He exhaled and opened his hands. The rope fell. The wind filled the sails, pulling them farther from shore. And for the first time, the boy felt something he had never known before. Lighter….
