We couldn’t be prouder of our work with Jefferson Union High School District on the new Adult Education Building and District Office Building in Daly City. The 39,000 square-foot Adult Education building features a variety of flexible classrooms, workrooms, and breakout spaces dedicated to the Adult Education and Adult Transition programs. The two-story, 30,000 square-foot District Office building serves the District’s administrative team, and is designed with ample open workspaces, offices, conference rooms, lounge areas, flexible training facility, and state-of-the-art Boardroom. The buildings are ZNE designed, all-electric, operationally carbon neutral, and are targeted for LEED Gold certification. Cornerstone supports both breast cancer awareness and Gonzaga’s American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE) Student Chapter, which is currently designing and building a concrete canoe for the Pacific Northwest Student Symposium competition on April 3-5, 2025 at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. On October 31st Cornerstone Earth Group, Inc. held a pumpkin carving contest and Halloween lunch at our Sunnyvale and Lafayette offices. Everybody had a spooktacularly good time and, despite some other excellent entries, the winner was “GE Boss” for its uncanny depiction of our Principal in Charge of our environmental services team, Kurt Soenen.

Cornerstone Earth Group, Inc. recently held a Think Pink themed company lunch for ???????????? ???????????? ?????????????????? ?????????? (October). Additionally, Cornerstone made a $1,000 contribution to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in support of this very important cause.

A group of staff members from Cornerstone Earth Group, Inc., including Cornerstone President, Danh Tran, recently attended ?????? ???????? ??&??: ?? ???????????? ???????????????? ???? ?????????????? ???? ???????? ????????????????. The event was held by the Michael Van Every Burn Fund, in partnership with the Burn Center at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, and took place at the San Jose Stage theater in downtown San Jose. The night began outside the theater with the attendees being treated to a terrific cocktail reception. Following the reception, guests moved inside to enjoy the trivia showdown, hosted by esteemed San Jose Mercury News reporter, Sal Pizarro, and featuring a panel of local celebrity guests. Suffice it to say, the trivia contest put everyone’s knowledge of San Jose history to the test, and helped make for a wonderfully entertaining evening.

Cornerstone Earth Group, Inc. 5th Annual Camping Trip recently took place in Sonoma Coast State Park at the Bodega Dunes Campground. This year’s trip included some great food including homemade campfire cinnamon buns and campfire dump cake, both made with a Dutch Oven. The campers spent time enjoying some groovy tunes while playing endless amounts of yard and card games. They also ventured over to Doran Beach to enjoy some spike ball, frisbee, birding, seal watching, surfing, boogie and body boarding, reading, relaxing and snacking, and of course Kubb!
