Small Shifts, Big Impact: Turning Professional Learning into Student Success These past two weeks reminded us of the power of?less but better. From Utah to New York and Boston, we partnered with passionate educators to explore small, intentional shifts that spark academic discourse, deepen problem solving, and elevate student writing. Whether through the Power of Place initiative in Boston or high-impact PLCs in New York, we saw how evidence becomes action when teachers simplify, clarify, and engage students as partners in learning. We employed practiced that: Increase rigor without losing accessibility Boost engagement by making learning relevant Strengthen student agency and ownership And, we did all of this with mo massive overhauls—just doable, sustainable practices that move the needle.
