Justice Row: A Hand Up, Not a Handout Elevating Equity in Cannabis, One Opportunity at a Time! The cannabis industry thrives in boardrooms and dispensary shelves across America, yet thousands still sit behind bars for the same plant that others profit from. Justice Row, an initiative of the?40 Tons Foundation, exists to bridge this painful gap—giving justice-impacted entrepreneurs a platform to succeed in the legal market while keeping the fight for those still incarcerated for cannabis front and center, like Mohamed Taher, Parker Coleman, Pedro Moreno, or the thousands still behind bars. None of us are free, until we are all free! After?an unforgettable debut at MJBizCon 2024?in Las Vegas, we’re bringing Justice Row to NECANN Boston 2025. What started as Equity Row evolved into a powerful, immersive experience—one that didn’t just tell a story but made people feel it. We built a prison visiting room, conducting real interviews in the space to create a raw, unfiltered dialogue unlike any typical conference setup. A live tattoo station honored the reality that many behind bars mark their journeys with ink. We set up an intake center and a commissary, reinforcing the daily struggles of those still incarcerated for cannabis. And to make the experience interactive, a roll bar, prisoner letter-writing campaign, and other activations allowed attendees to engage in meaningful ways. We wanted to showcase the hypocrisy that here we are at a national conference making billions of dollars, meanwhile people are still incarcerated over the very thing we are all here making money on, having fun with, and enjoy our lives over.
