Opportunities for #infrastructure advancements.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the availability of $7.5 billion of Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) funding. The WIFIA program offers long-term loans to help communities implement critical water infrastructure projects, which protect public health, deliver environmental benefits, create over 60,000 good-paying jobs, protect waterways including drinking water sources, and support local economies, at a lower cost. "With the EPA’s announcement of $7.5 billion available in WIFIA funding on September, 6th, it goes to show that the water and wastewater infrastructure issues our country is facing are starting to gain attention!! As WASDA members, we have known the crucial need for this for a long time. However, through organizing our efforts, partnering with people like Zack Perconti (WASDA's Director of Government Affairs), and continuing to voice our concerns and needs, we are starting to see the results we have been looking for from our nation’s capital! Now more than ever, we need to continue to grow and strengthen our voice of the industry as WASDA members!"—Edward W. Morrison, III, President of WASDA Tap https://lnkd.in/gvnNdZxx to read more.
