Exciting news from CORE Builders: South Park Commons has officially received its Certificate of Occupancy! Huge congratulations to Team SPC and everyone who played a role in making this project a success. This is a major win not just for our Construction team, but for the entire company. Thank you to our Accounting team for processing countless invoices and pay applications, to Preconstruction for setting up a strong budget foundation and trade partner base, and to our warranty specialist buck nguyen for filling in gaps along the way. Our Admins have also been instrumental, buoying all of us with their constant support. A special shout out to our partners who helped us make this project possible: City of Santa Rosa, Robin Zimbler at Freebird, HKIT Architects, Waypoint, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, and countless consultants and subcontractors that contributed to this project. Tamien Station Update!! We're Flying! Flying Trusses that is! Our team is making incredible progress – trusses are being flown in, and the exterior is coming together with DensGlass turning the building a bold yellow! ?? In just a couple of weeks, we’ll be installing windows, and we’re prepping for the final stages with meter banks in place, ready for PG&E to energize us. ?? The finish line is in sight, and we’re grateful for our collaboration with HKIT Architects to ensure a high-quality product for our awesome client Robin Zimbler at Freebird Development Company. We’re super excited to announce the well-deserved promotions of FIVE outstanding team members whose dedication and excellence have consistently raised the bar. Their leadership, mentorship, and commitment to growth continue to inspire us, and we look forward to seeing their ongoing contributions. They are: Joel Hannagan has been promoted to General Construction Manager. He will oversee all projects, leading senior superintendents and providing mentorship to ensure successful project execution. With nearly 14 years at CORE, Joel has shown unwavering commitment to excellence. Babatunde Onadele Jr has been promoted to Project Executive, taking on responsibilities in client management, team development, financial oversight, and strategic planning. His outstanding leadership and project management skills make him well-suited for this role. Raul Bonilla Jr. has been promoted to Senior Project Manager. With nearly a decade at CORE, he will oversee multiple projects, guiding project managers, assistant project managers, and team members. His innovation and dedication have contributed to the success of CORE Builders. Derrick Chappell has been promoted to Assistant Project Manager. He will collaborate with project managers to oversee projects from start to finish, drawing on his success with recent projects. His leadership, dedication, discipline, and positive attitude have made him a key asset to CORE. Nancy Soldano has been promoted to Senior Office Manager, with expanded responsibilities in HR. Successful construction projects rely on coordination, collaboration, and alignment, and a key event that brings these elements together is the mock-up. Today at the Tamien Station Affordable Housing project, we advanced the exterior mock-up process by finalizing the details for window installations. This crucial milestone was the result of extensive preparation, including RFIs, submittals, pre-coordination meetings, and constant communication through calls, emails, and texts. On-site, we had the full team—architect, framer, metal stud/ DensGlass installer, window installers, waterproofing consultants, sheet metal installers, and general contractor—working together to ensure every detail was addressed. By resolving all possible conditions and scenarios now, we'll be ready to hit the ground running when the windows arrive.
