Congratulations to our Senior Energy Concierge,?Tim Johns, on completing a rigorous, week-long course to become an Energy Manager in Training (EMIT)! He particularly enjoyed learning how motors and drives work in a building and how much efficiency they can achieve. But a new report shows how these states can help make this technology more economical through better electric rate structures! “We know that heat pumps cut climate pollution and can reduce home energy costs, even in the coldest states… Utilities, regulators, and policymakers need to further reduce costs by encouraging heat pump–friendly electric rates and energy efficiency upgrades, especially for low- and moderate-income households,” said ACEEE's Matt Malinowski.?
