Last week, we held our 2024 Investor Day filled with insightful discussions, industry expertise and valuable networking. Over the course of the afternoon, we heard from our CEO Tracy Stuart, CFA on Corbin’s culture, and a performance update from our Chief Investment Officer, Craig Bergstrom, including our vision for what is to come. The emergence of fund-level leverage via the rise of collateralized fund obligations has grown materially as investors seek leverage to make returns in private markets. Our Partner and Deputy CIO – Credit, John Cocke,?recently spoke with Kat Hidalgo?of Bloomberg News?about key considerations for CFOs backed by fund investments. While skepticism around these securitizations exists, John explains, “This isn’t an area I think is going to blow up. It’s just a bit of a Frankenstein structured-finance solution employed to enhance returns.
