Coqual’s CEO,?Jennie Glazer, is featured in?CNN’s latest workplace report on Trump’s anti-DEI directives. In the piece, she emphasizes a fundamental truth,?“Diversity is about how do I make sure my policies and practices are opening doors (for people) and not closing them. Whether you call it DEI or not, it’s just good leadership. The words may change, but the work is still happening.” Jeanne Sahadi?did a great job debunking common myths about today’s workplace realities. At Coqual, we know that fostering a culture of belonging isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s a business imperative. Our research proves that when employees feel valued, they bring their best ideas forward, driving stronger performance. Yet, as pushback against DEIB grows, leaders face tough choices about the path ahead. The truth? This work isn’t disappearing—it’s evolving. Real change happens when we listen, learn, and act—together.?Let’s keep the conversation going. If you’re looking to navigate what’s next, reach out at?[email protected]. In Coqual's research?Challenging Norms: A Global Analysis of Gender at Work, we found that full-time working women, from the US to India, still do a significantly greater share of childcare and housework than men. This exacts a wide-reaching toll on women's well-being, which can compound at intersections of race, class, caste, and beyond. For over 100 years International Women's Day has been championing equality and achievement for women across the globe, while raising awareness about discrimination. Many of the issues that encouraged this movement are still impacting women's advancement. Together, we can Accelerate Action for gender equality- really embracing this year's theme. Every day, but especially on International Women's Day, let's join in solidarity to emphasize the steps all of us can take to address the systemic barriers and biases that women face both in and out of the workplace.?#IWD2025

As we kick off Black History Month, this?year’s theme, African Americans and Labor, focuses on the intersections between Black people’s work and their workplaces. February marks over 100 years of honoring the contributions of Black Americans, a time to celebrate the rich legacy of excellence, perseverance, and resilience. But it's also a time to reflect on the challenges that still persist today. Coqual's 2020 Power of Belonging research reveals that nearly 1 in 3 Black employees (32%) feel out of place at work due to their race or ethnicity—compared to 23% of Asian employees and 15% of Latinx employees. As we honor the past, let's also commit to empowering the future. Change begins with acknowledging our differences and embracing the strength in our shared humanity. #BlackHistoryMonth #BlackExcellence #DiversityandInclusion #Belonging #Empowerment?

The past week has been deeply unsettling for many of us. We are witnessing policies and rhetoric that threaten the dignity and humanity of people in our communities, which is creating feelings of anger and fear. These challenges may test us, but here’s the undeniable truth: Diversity is an inescapable reality that is reshaping our world, and the companies bold enough to embrace this reality will shape the future. At Coqual, we’ve always believed that workplaces thrive when every individual feels empowered to show up fully, contribute their best, and belong. This belief is more urgent today than ever before. In the face of polarization, disinformation, and efforts to undermine inclusion, we must lean into our purpose and mission with greater clarity and conviction. Now is not the time to retreat; it’s a time to rise. Coqual’s recent DEIB Pulse Survey finds that 36% of our member organizations are increasing their DEIB investments because they know inclusion fuels innovation, builds trust, and strengthens resilience. The stakes are high and we know:? ?? - Belonging drives success. Employees who feel valued and connected are 56% more productive and 50% less likely to leave their organization.? - Diverse teams outperform. They solve problems faster, adapt to change more effectively, and innovate at higher levels.? - Values build trust. Companies that prioritize inclusion build stronger relationships with employees, customers, and investors.? ?? As we face challenges, let’s continue to lead with courage, clarity, and compassion. This is our moment to unite, learn from each other, and build a future where inclusion isn’t just protected, but strengthened. Together, we can turn fear into action and create workplaces where everyone thrives. Let’s examine what’s working, what needs improvement, and how we can lead with both strength and compassion. Reach out now to [email protected] to become a member and gain access to tools, resources, and data-based research, and let us help you along your journey.? ?? #DEIB #Leadership #Inclusion #Belonging #Coqual #CourageInAction?
