This home in Glenview, IL received an exterior upgrade including a mineral-based painted exterior, new energy efficient windows and doors, a complete roof replacement, updated LED light fixtures and native landscaping. We always specify either mineral silicate paint or limewash for exterior brick to allow it to breath and prevent trapping moisture. The updated appearance will carry this home into the foreseeable future without the threat of being demolished or receiving structurally invasive renovation work. #exteriorrenovation #residentialdesign #coorlasarchitecture

Our vision for this home addition & remodel in Glencoe, IL was to convey a timeless elegance through the use of traditional materials and exquisite composition. A smooth white stucco exterior is contrasted with an onyx black fluted batten system. Symmetry and balance was introduced to the exterior by adding windows and carrying the entry door inset up vertically to the new roofline. More photos coming soon. Join me on a site visit as I tour the progress at our Glencoe, IL Addition / Remodel. The stucco exterior with vertical slat cladding is complete, and we are very pleased with its elegant appearance. Interiors have passed rough inspections, and we are now prepping for final finish installations. This project consisted of a primary bedroom + ensuite addition along with exterior updates, and a complete interior remodel. In the works, a cute and efficient coach house with a 3 car garage, 1 1/2 bathrooms and full kitchen. ADU's have become a very poplar topic in regard to housing and utilizing single family lots to provide additional housing.
