The Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that develops accurate and credible methods for evaluating and labeling the surface radiative properties (solar reflectance and thermal emittance) of roofing and exterior wall products. The CRRC also provides education to the public on how solar-reflective roofs and walls can help improve building energy efficiency, increase occupant comfort, mitigate the Urban Heat Island effect, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. MISSION - To implement and communicate fair, accurate, and credible radiative energy performance rating systems for roof or wall surfaces - To support research into energy related radiative properties of roof or wall surfaces, including durability of those properties - To provide education and objective support to parties interested in understanding and comparing various product options

2025 is off to a busy start for CRRC lab trainings! Congratulations to Ashley and Emma with ACE Laboratories on completing CRRC Rapid Ratings training with CRRC Senior Technical Manager Stacey Weister and joining the ranks of Rapid Ratings-trained personnel at ACE. This is a specialized training that is required for labs performing laboratory-simulated soiling and weathering for the CRRC Rapid Ratings Program.
