I took my SIM card out of my phone for 100 days. ?? My number was completely deactivated. Any texts or calls? Instantly deleted—gone forever. No voicemail, no backup. Just poof. You won't believe what happened (you probably will): Nothing. My house didn't burn down. No missed life-changing opportunities (that I know of). Sure, maybe I missed an old friend reaching out or a business deal... but honestly? I'm OK with that. Why? Because the reality of building a great company is this: Focus is everything. And saying "no" is the easiest way to stay focused. I just took it one step further, because you don't need to say no if you never get asked. Big brain. ?? For 100 days, I trusted that every call or text was just a distraction from my bigger goals. Nothing is more important to me than growing Convi.io for this season of my life. The result? The clarity I gained far outweighed any potential missed opportunity (I assume ??). As the saying goes: "Once-in-a-lifetime opportunities come once a quarter." Yes, I had a UK SIM for essentials (no one had the number, lol). I still used email & WhatsApp for close contacts. But the to rest of the world? Unreachable. Some call it founder mode, or monk mode. I just call it focus. Anyway, this post is my attempt to say that if you tried to call or text me in the last few months and I never responded, I'm sorry. I was simply too locked in. (Plus, we all know, the REAL conversations go down in the LinkedIn DMs anyways ??) My number’s back online now.
