A survey shows that 58% prefer shopping online due to crime concerns, and 63% of those who have witnessed retail crime are more likely to do so. Many consumers (63%) have noticed increased security measures like locked merchandise and video surveillance. Retail theft caused $121B in losses in 2023 and is projected to exceed $150B by 2026.
