All people should have access to accessible and affordable high-quality healthcare

关于我们

The Convenient Care Association is the national trade association of companies and healthcare systems that provide consumers with accessible, affordable, quality healthcare in retail-based locations. CCA works primarily to enhance and sustain the growth of the Convenient Care industry through sharing of best practices and common standards of operation. The CCA was founded in October 2006. Since the first Convenient Care clinics (CCCs) opened in 2000, the Convenient Care industry has grown quickly. Today there are over 2,000 such clinics in operation in 41 states and Washington, D.C., and CCA member clinics represent approximately 97% of the industry. To date, CCCs have served more than 20 million patients. With this rapid expansion, and projected continued growth, it quickly became clear that the shared concerns and needs of both providers and patients could best be served through an association that allowed for: ? Sharing best practices, common standards of operation, experiences and ideas ? Developing common standards of operation to ensure the highest quality of care throughout all CCCs ? A united voice to advance the needs of CCCs and their customers ? A unified effort to promote the concept of CCCs, and to respond to questions about this evolving industry ? Reaching out to the existing medical community and creating new partnerships ? Building synergies with traditional medical service providers

President & CEO of Woods System of Care, Executive Director/Administrator of Convenient Care Association and Co-founder of the Social Innovations Journal

Honored to join friends and wonderful colleagues from the mental health sector on World Mental Health Day in Charlotte NC, Woods System of Care, Social Innovations Journal, Convenient Care Association, RSM, United Way of Greater Charlotte and Next Stage at the Mental Health Ideas Exchange at the Foundation For The Carolinas. Enjoyed facilitating the CCA and Woods panel on innovation with Kroger Health, Medworks, Pax and the Family Van and Mobile Health Map at Harvard University and was inspired how this event sparked dynamic conversations and uncovered many new ideas, all centered on mental health innovation. Everyone who participated focused on local, state and national mental and behavioral healthcare solutions with hope, creativity, and collaboration. Roundtable discussions included topics like integrated care models, mental health in schools, mental health equity, crisis response systems, peer support networks, Telehealth and digital therapeutics. Thanks to Josh Jacobson from Next Stage and Michele Juliana from RSM for organizing us all to come together for this amazing cross sector ideas exchange, representing the nonprofit, private and government sectors along with community members and local artists. An article featuring the event and innovative programs and services in Charlotte will be forthcoming in a future Social Innovations Journal. Chief Medical Officer at Kroger Health

I had the pleasure of speaking at the Convenient Care Association's quarterly meeting about the power of #FoodasMedicine and how food plays a critical role in our overall health and well-being. ? As a nation, we spend $4.5 trillion a year on healthcare. I'm proud to say Kroger Health looks at the total picture and continues to integrate access to healthy food with education through convenient, personalized solutions such as OptUPTM, our Telenutrition service and in-store dietitians, medically tailored meals, Food Benefit Cards and more. ? #HelpingPeopleLiveHealthierLives
