Unlike other organizations, membership includes free admission to every CCC of KC event within a calendar year from the date of purchase. Last week I had the privilege to speak on the 2025 CRE Market Update Panel hosted by Contractors, Closers & Connections (CCC) of Kansas City. Many thanks to our great moderator Joe Perry, my co-panelists, and the rest of the board of CCC for putting on such a great event. Some of the Key Takeaways were: 1) The general outlook for Kansas City's Commercial Real Estate Market is optimistic across the majority of our asset classes. Aided by improvements in transportation and infrastructure, there is an expectation of several notable developments being delivered in 2025 as well as an assortment of new construction starts. 2) Now more than ever there is an emphasis on shopping local. Whether you are looking for a General Contractor, Architect, or Broker there is an unmeasurable value on utilizing a partner that has a physical presence and longstanding experience in the market you are looking into. 3) Kansas City is well positioned for sustained growth for the foreseeable future. Though KC didn't see the huge leaps in rental and lease rates that other markets saw in the last five years, we have been resilient in times those markets have seen sharp declines. When comparing Kansas City to comparable Midwest Cities, we stand out among the rest as a premier Secondary Market with great growth potential.

A huge win for the City of Lee's Summit! This week the Lee's Summit EDC Board announced that Joe Perry has been selected as new president of the organization. The Lee's Summit Economic Development Council (LSEDC) is a nonprofit public-private partnership that focuses on business attraction, retention, expansion and workforce development through annual agreements with City of Lee's Summit.
